Time, where does it go ...

Well, many months have passed since I was last here and sadly the job situation has not improved.
So, apart from endless days with the family over summer, what have I been up to?
Lots of school runs, lost of looking after ill children, a bit of being ill myself and a few trips to the cinema.
We (the family) also travelled to and around York over the summer and enjoyed parts of it. We less enjoyed the experience of being in a camp site and more frequently, being on the roads stuck in a long line of traffic behind one of the endless numbers of tractors that seemed ever present.
We also seem to have ended up with some chickens. My wife claimed that these would lay eggs (there has been no evidence of this so far) and thus save us some money, or something.
The fact that one of these turned out to be a cockerel hasn't helped, but now we seem to have three hens (or two and a chick) and still no eggs.
Still, at least our garden is now covered in chicken poo, so that's alright then.
