For those in the UK, Jack Straw has undermined any possible credibility he had but vetoing the release of cabinet meeting minutes relating to the government's decision to go to war with Iraq, under the freedom of information act.
The Information Commissioner and the Information Tribunal in the High Courts had rules that the information should be released under the Freedom of Information Act, but our "Justice" Secretary (there is a misleading term) decided that he had to veto it because of the damage it might cause to cabinet government.
What damage? The only way it could be damaging is by confirming what we have suspected all along, that there was no real proof of any thread from Iraq and therefore that they lied to us and took us to war under false pretences. By refusing to let this information come to light he is just condemning himself anyway.
I want to be around on the day that that all their lies and dishonorable acts are finally revealed and that those involved (especially Teflon Tony) are called to answer for their crimes.
